Tara is a licensed, clinical, professional counselor with a Master of Science degree from Loyola University Maryland. Tara specializes in working with children, adolescents, and young adults and has worked in both inpatient and outpatient mental health settings for over 12 years.

Tara specializes in treating anxiety, depression, behavioral outbursts, and trauma using a variety of techniques including EMDR and Child-Centered Play Therapy. In addition, Tara offers keynotes and presentations on a variety of mental health topics, including treating childhood anxiety, to parents, students and staff at local schools and community organizations.

Tara believes change is accomplished through learning self-awareness and the development of effective coping skills. Tara provides a safe, non-threatening environment that demonstrates love, compassion, trust, and understanding, so children and adults can build the stepping-stones needed to live a happier and healthier life. For the young person in your life who is experiencing anxiety, depression, the effects of trauma, transitional difficulties, and/or relationship problems, Tara is a gifted and nurturing therapist who can help guide them through tumultuous times.

Tara has lived in Maryland all her life and currently resides in Carroll County with her husband and two sons.
